I have just bought a Homelite XL chainsaw from a late friends widow. I know that is was bought in Florida, and the manual says 4oz of oil to 1 gallon. I presume that’s a U.S.Gal. i.e. 3.8ltrs. (imp.gallon 4.5)for a 32/1 ratio. Does anyone know the Mililitre to litre ratio of oil to petrol?

If you are using Homelite oil or a premium chain saw oil the mix should be.125ml oil to 4 liters of gas. A little extra oil will not hurt, but too little will. Havve a nice day.
